Chrism Mass at the cathedral

The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at the cathedral, with the priests of every deanery concelebrating.

The oil of catechumens, the oil of the sick and the sacred chrism are blessed at this Mass and carried back to each parish for the year. Parishes should send one person to collect them, with a clean vessel for each oil.

Seating in the nave is reserved for the clergy until the procession has passed.
